Kia ora koutou/Greetings to all Club Members and Supporters
We would like to thank all our members and supporters who came along to the Hope Circuit on Saturday to support the Tasman Secondary Schools Road Cycling Championships and our annual Open Day. What an awesome day of racing and catching up with members past and present. It was especially heartening to see and have the support of our life members, past presidents and so many of our former racers – awesome to have your support and to catch up with each other – all be it briefly on my part.
A special thank you to our race management team. It was a big day and we are enormously grateful for the hard work you all put in to making the day the success that it was.
Congratulations to all our participants in the Tasman Secondary School Road Cycling Champs and a special thank you to those who made the trip over from Marlborough. There was some great racing and some fantastic examples of perseverance. As a Club we are looking forward to working further with our schools in growing road cycling throughout the Top of the South.
Thank you to those who responded with support to the accident and ensured a positive outcome. Thankfully, no serious injuries.
I would also like to acknowledge our sponsors for your support with this event: Village Cycles, NBS, Sprig and Fern, GJ Gardner, Copy Press and Tall Poppy. We really appreciate your support thank you.
Keep an eye our website, Facebook or Instagram for further Club activities and please do not hesitate to keep the feedback coming in, especially as the Committee start shaping up the post Christmas Calendar. Mark 14 December on your calendar for our Christmas outing and 8 March for the Tasman Classic
Looking forward to seeing you all on the road again soon.
Nga mihi/Regards
Peter King
